Dear Members,
It is a great pleasure to serve as your 83rd
President of the Board of Directors for the Chula Vista Chamber of Commerce.
As President, my top priority is to foster an environment
where we can join together and work collaboratively to address our city’s
challenges and create new opportunities for success.
The Chamber strives to provide opportunities for our
members to network and promote their services to the community-at-large. We
encourage you to join us at a First Friday Mayor’s Breakfast, a Second Thursday
Mixer, the annual golf tournament or our Annual Tradeshow. We also invite you
to take a leadership role in our organization by joining one of our many Chamber
committees: Ambassador, Public Policy, Membership, International, Education or
Economic Development.
The old adage holds true: ‘you get out of it what you put
into it.’ Please utilize the many resources our Chamber provides for you. Your
membership and participation in the Chamber is an investment that will increase
the success of your business.
As engaged business leaders, we must continue providing
meaningful support to city leaders to achieve prosperity and strengthen the
economic health of our city. As partners with the City of Chula Vista, the
Chamber will continue to promote critical programs like Expert Insights,
Smart Business Links and Shop and Dine in Chula Vista.
I especially encourage you to use this directory and make a
difference for our business members by spending your money in Chula Vista. This
not only supports the Chamber’s mission of economic development, it enhances our
city’s livability by generating tax revenue that pays for city services and
amenities like our library, parks, nature center and reliable infrastructure.
This year, the Chamber
of Commerce will continue to advance our longstanding goals of planning
for the future and protecting Chula Vista’s quality of life. But we all need to
work together to ensure success and economic growth for our city and our
business community.
